An alumnus of University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P) with a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications, Albert has had stints in Citibank and General Electric in the Philippines. His most recent job was at the nonprofit organization New Life Community Services in Singapore, where he spent 4 years raising its brand presence and fundraising portfolio to include foundations and top corporates.

BeamAndGo CEO Jonathan E. Chua said, “Albert has a deep understanding of the financial services sector and the issues that Filipinos face on a daily basis. He has already been helping us with introductions to influential merchants and providing marketing consultancy since we began in February 2014. I am excited to now have him onboard full time as we enter our next phase of growth.”

For his part, Albert Go, who himself spent 4 years as an Overseas Foreign Worker in Singapore, shared his own experiences on the plight of Filipinos living overseas. He recounted the frightening stories where money sent by migrants ended up getting misused on alcohol and gambling rather than on life-essentials such as tuition fees, groceries, medicine, and utilities.

The 31-year old social entrepreneur and grassroots event organizer, elaborated: “We Filipinos work overseas because of higher wages. While our motivation is to uplift the quality of life of our loved ones, I still see many Filipinos’ hard-earned savings being squandered by their relatives back home. I joined BeamAndGo because the digital gift certificate technology we created will certainly address this social issue. Our marketing campaigns will aim at educating the Filipinos to shift away from traditional remittances in order to build a better future.”
